Hogwarts Legacy: In nearly every way it's one of the Harry Potter RPG I've always wanted to play.
Much like many others, we've been waiting for an amazing Harry Potter game since I was in the third grade. Over the years we've received some good LEGO Potter games, an subpar EA Sports Quidditch game for certain reasons, and suffered through the fevered nightmare the game Harry Potter Kinect. Yet none of them has any chance of achieving the dream of getting a Hogwarts admissions card that opens the door to a hidden world. It's the same with Hogwarts Legacy, I'm thrilled to report that we've finally found an Harry Potter game that captures the essence of this magic. Its open world map recreates the feel and atmosphere of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry It has amazing spellcasting that is awe-inspiringly good and the characters who inhabit the game are adorable and memorable, and it is positively brimming with countless diversions to fill several moments of. The game may not be the most spectacular technical feat and is definitely plagued with a lack in enemy variety, but none of Hogwarts Legacy's weaknesses can cast a Descendo-like charm on this glorious trip to the Wizarding World.

The mystical third-person action-adventure game starts by having you transfer to Hogwarts as the fifth year's witch or wizard (for unknown reasons) to complete everything from attending classes to fighting massive spiders with a magical stick to gliding around on a the hippogriff. The character creator provides numerous options to craft your ideal witch or wizard (apart from a pretty narrow voice selection) In the moment you've made the switch, they'll become entangled in a conflict against you and your fellow wizards in the Wizarding World and a wicked goblin. And, because being in an underground wizard's society does not seem to be thrilling enough and you'll soon realize that you've got some incredibly powerful magical abilities that allow the player to do amazing stuff that's not really explained.
If you're like me, you'll be squirming whenever you're presented to 100 years of dead characters giving you advice from paintings about the importance of something that occurred a long time ago and how you have to help save the world or whatever. But once that's over with Legacy mostly redeems itself with a fantastic cast of non-painting characters that help boil things down into a not-too-convoluted good-guys-versus-bad-guys conflict that ends up being an enjoyable tale, even if it's not particularly profound or original.

A lot of them are memorable and delightful, like Sebastian the bold and morally trustworthy Slytherin or Natsai the sharp and unflappable Gryffindor Spending time with them and strengthening your social links through the quests for their relationships will make my time at Hogwarts to be all the more enjoyable.
In almost every way, Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG that I've had a long-time dream of trying. The open-world adventure captures the excitement and magic that is Hogwarts' Wizarding World with its memorable new characters as well as challenging and intricate combat and a superbly executed Hogwarts student fantasy that kept my attention on my console for hours of hours. It's certainly not without its technical issues, a dull main story, and uninspired enemies, but the octordle game's shortcomings aren't even close of breaking its spell over me.
