In an effort to make NYSCA membership more attractive and to obtain more members that actually purchase memberships regularly, the organization is switching from a membershiprequired model to one where discounts are offered at a variety of tournaments, including the New York State Championships but also including the Continental Chess Association and Chess Center of New York tournaments.
